Milo

Yesterday we adopted a new family member. I can't post pictures at the moment. The twins broke my camera. He is a very awesome cat so far. His fur is the softest color of orange I have ever seen. He is 2 years old. and just a big ole lazy bum. He hides dduring the day while the twins are up. He must know when its quiet they are gone. This is the 2nd night in a row he has came down stairs and looked around.

I do feel so sorry for him. Tonight some how when I was getting Alyssa and Zander into bed he must have snuck in there. It was about 830 pm when I got home and Terry was baby sitting for me. I asked Terry if he had seen the cat around and he said no. So I went upstairs and looked and looked for him. Terry asked if I was sure he wasnt in the twins room. I said I keep the door shut so that Milo wont get in there. Well I decided to check the twins room. Poor Milo! Their room was TRASHED. Zanders matress was turned over onto the floor. Blankets covered every piece of carpet in their room. I looked at them and asked "What in the world" Alyssa laughs and starts pointing under her bed. "BeeBee its BeeBee (aka baby is what she calls him) and thats when I knew. They were chasing the poor kitty around their room for over 30 mins when they were suppose to be sleeping.

Sorry Milo I hope you forgive me!

What time is it Mr. Fox.....

Spring forward..... Why oh why do they do this when bed time is going so well? It seems like once the twins get back into going to bed great POOF its spring time change. We had about 2 months of bed time hell. So now when the sun is shining bright in their room they seem to think its play time. It is taking over an hour the past two days to get them to calm down and go to sleep. So I tossed in the towel and let them stay up later. So now I am doing 10 mins backwards each day to get them back to their normal bedtime routine. I enjoy that they go to bed before the boys. This gives the older boys some mom time for 1 whole hour and we cherish this.

Outside!

FINALLY we were able to go out side to play today. Living in Michigan it has been a while since I was able to play outside with the kids. We played with bubbles, played football, and played some baseball. I think it gave the twins more energy today. They were still awake at 8pm tonight. So maybe I should keep them locked up and bored =) I am kidding I had a BLAST today!

Another whine..

This remodeling is taking a toll on me. I know I have complained alot this week. But from just all the small things piling up on me I am starting to wish we never began this project. Maybe then I would have enjoyed my spring break and took some time to catch up on homework. As of now I am just wanting to sit here and play Facebook games rather then do anything that makes me use my head.

I have to give my kids credit they are playing well for what small area we have to play in at the moment. Could you imagine trying to play in a livingroom with 6 chairs and a table in the center. and 20 sheets of drywall. Today was a tad better tho they started putting up the drywall!! which is awesome. Means we are getting closer to finishing.

Tomorrow Austin is spending the night at a friends and Zachery is staying the night with my sister. This is exciting for me and them. With the boys not being able to play in the basement its adding toys to the living room. Sunday the twins are spending some time with my sister WOOHOO!!

Why are people so Rude?

We are remodelling the dining room. So to help my husband out I took the twins out and about today with me to keep them from the house and out of the way. I started our adventure at my friend Nikki's. We hung out and played for quiet a while. And then Nikki, baby Gage, the twins and I headed to the mall.

We are walking around the mall with 2 strollers and making great conversation. We walk into a store and Aly sees candy and realllllly wanted some. I told her no and proceded to walk out of the store. She starts to cry as I would expect a 2 year old to do. An older lady walks by and says "She needs a spanking" !!!! WHAT!!! How dare you!!!! grrrr Im so upset thinking about it again.

Shower day

Well today was Sharra's shower. and I have to toot my own horn.... it was a BLAST. I had such a wonderful time throwing it. There was a great turn out. I tried a few new games. Baby Jepeordy and it was a HIT. I will make sure to use that one again. And the only reason I say again is because I tend to LOVE throwing showers.

The diaper cake was a new one for me also. I have made many many diaper cakes in the past. But I tried something new with this one and think it was great.

Who did she think she was?

I was picking my kids up from school today. There are 3 lanes at the school and then the parking lot. The first 2 lanes by the sidewalk are for parents to pick up their kids. I use the 2nd lane daily. This way I can pull up to where the kids are standing by their teacher and I dont have to get the twins out of the car.

3pm I get to my normal spot I sit at. The children get out at first dismissal which is 320. My children come out I wave at the teacher and she lets the kids walk to my car.

Austin is almost in tears telling me a story of this child whom has been picking on him since the school years started. So I see his teacher on the sidewalk standing with her class and I get out of my car.

I speak with the teacher for only a moment explaining my concerns about today. I turn around to walk back to my car....... AND ITS NOT THERE. Seriously the car and my children are NOT THERE. As you can imagine that 3-5 seconds it took me to see my car a million things ran through my head. I then see my van up about 5 spots and parked in the 1st lane. I RUN to my van. As I am getting in I ask the boys who moved my car. Austin said Mrs. BlahBlah did....

Why the heck would she take it upon herself to get in my car LET alone move my car????? I was standing on the sidewalk with my back faced to the traffic.. They were right behind me. AND my car was shut off. So she started my car AND moved it.

I then move my car up some and pick up the other kiddo I was picking up today. I step out of my car and am speaking with a Dean about the situation. I see 2 teachers walking down the sidewalk. One says "So then I just got in and moved the car.. I should have taken the keyes also" and the other one says "I would have" I turned my head and said EXCUSE ME.... and gave a mature piece of my mind without getting all loud with the other parents and children around me.

She then just this snotty remark about me blocking traffic. and looked at the dean. I then got back in my car. Parked in a spot and took the children inside with me and excused myself as I went into the office. Once I explained everything to the principal it took everything I had to walk back out and keep smiling so my children didnt think Mrs. BlahBlah was a "horrible person".

Alyssa, my sweetie pie

I remember wanting a girl so bad. When I had that ultrasound and I threatened the tech that if one of the twins wernt a girl I would cry. I was honestly kidding... well sorta =)

I got my gift of a girl. And my oh my. This is nothing like raising the boys. The boys are so easy going. Alyssa has been in control of her twin since they were in the womb.

Today Alyssa started tattling on other kids in the house. Zander took a toy from the toy box and Alyssa was right there shaking her little finger at him "N o No Zander" she told him. He actually walked over and put the toy back. Silly little boy.

I enjoy her cuddling on my lap, petting my hair, and saying sweet words "Mama you so purrrty" That very moment reminds me how lucky I am to have a sweet little girl.

School really?

So I did some research and found a pre headstart class for the twins. I know by babies are only going to be 3 in Oct. But I really think they would benefit from this program. The only kids they know how to play with is each other. And they fight with each other very well also. I also feel this will give Zander some more friends and help with his speech.

And I have to admit deep down inside I would kinda enjoy a few hours break from them =) I know that sounds so bad. But wow what a day it is.

House Project + Kids = oh my

Craig and I have began some house projects. With 2 of the rooms downstairs at the half way mark its time to get them done! For gosh sakes he started the kitchen BEFORE I got pregnant with the twins. and my trim is still not up and the floor isn't laid. So today he picked up some tile. and we are moving forward... Or so I thought LOL

I went to run a few errands and called him while I was out, asked how it was going. Well it appears while he was mudding the corners in the kitchen the twins managed to take EVERYTHING off my desk. I still have no clue what they did with half of the stuff. Alyssa managed to drink my ice tea and drop it. Oye I knew better then to leave it on my desk.

Once the projects get done it will be nice to put the rooms back together. The twins get into EVERYTHING possible. If you can think of it..... They have already done it .... and I cant tell you how many items we have had to pull out of the toilet, furnace vents, etc. And its odd because I would be reading a book to Alyssa and 2 secs later realize I can't see Zander and by that point he is already doing something crazy. Well I tended to drift off into babble land.

I will be excited when these projects get done so my house can continue to get organized.

10.... R U serious

March brings me great joy.... March is my 10 year date of being a mommy. How can you even compare anything to the anniversary of becoming a mom. My amazing son will be 10 years old in 27 days. Oye..... I will have my first child in the double digits.

10 years - I gave birth to my first child
9 years ago - I realized there was something different about my child
8 years ago - Doctors told me to stop looking at him when he walks. They said it bothers me more then it bothers him
7 years ago- Craig was deployed while I gave birth to a baby brother for Austin. And he was/is an AMAZING big brother
6 years ago- Finally someone agreed with me that something was wrong with Austin. He is then diagnosed with hemiparesis cerbral palsy.
5 years ago- Oh the amazing first day of school..... and yes I just got a tear in my eye
4 years ago- my straight A student takes charge of 1st grade and is so very smart.
3 years ago- On Austins birthday I found out I was pregnant he was going to be a big brother again
2 years ago - he starts playing soccar and keeps up great with the other kids. still learning alot about running and keeping control.
1 year ago - my sweet austin's only wish for his birthday is that we all spent it together.

Happy March!!

Wow March is actually here. I sit here near a window and watch the 2 foot of snow that sits on the side of my drive way, just dripping. It's so exciting is the snow going to be gone? Probably not because I live in michigan. But its awesome to see the sun shining with positive vibes for March to be a beautiful month.
